It creates a world that is made to mirror the naivete of the protagonist, Fellicia, as the only way she can confront issues is if they are veiled in absurdity. It creates a world that is made to spotlight themes of friendship and self-discovery. It says that, rather than there being only either bad or good people in the world, well, maybe everyone is a little bit of a penis deep down inside.
